Your article encapsulates the existential tragedy of our era—an era of human domination that is ending. This year, 2023, is a telling portrait of the accelerating warming of our planet and how that translates into extreme conditions of fire, flooding, storm, drought and heat domes. And we haven’t even arrived at the hottest part of summer, or the weeks when hurricanes spin up into mega storms. Also consider what the winter of 2024 will bring forth with extreme weather. And will the summer of 2024 be even hotter than 2023? Then getting worse in 2025, and so on. The portrait of disaster is being painted for us. It’s not a pretty picture. At some point the facts will be evident to even the most ardent denier of “global warming”. But of course Mother Nature has no opinion one way or the other about denial in the human mind. What matters is the basic science of how unprecedented dumping of C02 into Earth’s atmosphere produces the facts around our accelerating push into hot house Earth conditions.
