We are consumers. Consuming is in the name and concept. We consume. Being a consumer is locked into our DNA. Go forth and multiply is a command we attribute to our ancestral deity. Our only limit as consumers and procreators was available energy. Then we actualized the vast energy potential of fossil fuels. This is when we hoisted ourselves on our on petard. Nature will move on from us along a millennial timeline. The churning of plate tectonics will erase our ancestry and the next iteration of an advanced life form will arise to test the sustainability of its own DNA. The dinosaurs lasted longer than our prospects give us. But their lack of awareness of science left them sitting ducks for asteroid destruction. There is always a failure in the model.
