We are certainly in a period of accelerating risk during a time of high social complexity. Many of the structures of our “hyper-object” civilization will break apart. I don’t know if the breakdown will be “ everything, everywhere all at once” but the changes being forced upon human structures by our climate (fossil fuel big growth driven) misadventure will be merciless. Humans will be changed in how we relate to each other and to nature. I hope we come out wiser and not just “dead and rotten.”
