Umair, this is one of your better articles in the way you make the case about societies collapsing. Your country-level assessment is instructive. At the global level its my belief the world has been in slow collapse since about the 1860s. Wealth grew from 1860-1960 but the path to overuse of natural resources and loss of our connection to nature ensured that global collapse was inevitable. At 200 years on in 2060 the evidence of collapse will be everywhere.
