The switch to Harris as the Dem candidate brought about a big boost in enthusiasm for many voter groups (both blue and red) that seek a Trump defeat. Voter turnout will be key to winning Congress and the Presidency. If a November vote count shows Trump narrowly losing a typical red state by narrow margins, the next Republican game play will be questioning the results of the state vote and urging that Electors be appointed by compliant (and complicit) Republican state legislators who are willing to sidestep regular process to get Trump to the Electoral College numbers he needs. The challenge will then shift to Congress in January. It will be very dramatic and unnerving. Only landslide losses for Republicans across the board could thwart Republican chicanery.

The first order challenge for Democrats and Harris supporters is to go vote blue like democracy depends on it. Because it does.
