Thank you Mike. Your summary of the disaster that is upon us is totally on target. My instinct for hope causes me to yearn for a different outcome in the extinction drama now unfolding. But logic tells me we are living in real time regarding global heating and the race toward ever more destructive climate events. Each year ahead of us will reinforce the evidence of disaster. I don’t see how it can be otherwise, but the hope that there is a way out is still strong in this early stage of decline. Bitterness, panic, and social turmoil await unless there has been some stunning misinterpretation of the facts in evidence.
