Thank you Mike. I look forward to reading your essays. I’m pumped up (as much as a cynical 75yo white male can be) to read that you now have the time to write weekly essays.

You have great language skills, and you frame our “future look” in mind tickling ways. Thank you for putting in the effort to think about where we are as a society, and where we seem to be headed.

I think about what kind of future our young people will have over the next 20 years. I try to imagine how I would approach the world now as an 18yo.

How does one truly and effectively channel the natural energy and optimism of youth? What happens to youth in a world undergoing de-growth, decline, and paradigmatic change?

Old people like myself just die off (maybe sooner than later) but how will the young people cope in a world that humanity has no experience with culturally, historically, or otherwise.
