Thank you for your story Richard. Such details of how you remember help me to process the significance of what you relate about the climate data you synthesize for your readers. I had a much better memory when I was younger. Not so much at 75 years old. Just trying to remember where I put down a book or my cell phone is a daily occurrence. It’s astonishing sometimes when old photos crop up on Facebook and OneDrive showing me events I have erased from memory. The discontinuity for our climate system will be (or is) a mega event that will alter civilization as we experience and remember our lives now. The children now; I feel sadness for them.
