Kevin, I agree with you regarding the perilous situation of our current time. The climate emergency is the fundamental driver of our overall peril. We have to address that issue directly with global unity to have any chance of escaping the most extreme projections of weather and climate catastrophe. But Putin’s war in Ukraine has totally derailed any notation that world governments, industry, and other organizations might somehow come together in common cause to mitigate the climate emergency. Instead we are consumed in life and death decisions about defending Western democratic values as we assist Ukraine. But we fight on tiptoe against Putin as he growls about a nuclear World War. How long can we dance with the bear? My feeling is we will have to push Russia hard come Hell or high water. Meanwhile, the climate emergency builds, putting us between a rock and a hard place. Radical change is coming for the Earth and humanity. I totally agree with you that planning anything for Christmas 2022 is more a hope than a certainty.
